Institute Review
Beijing International Education Institute (BIEI) is a company that facilitates relationships between universities in China and universities abroad. Students can get dual degrees as part of the international program administered by BIEI and their host university. Lecturers hired by BIEI will most often begin with a training session at the main office in Beijing and then travel to the university where they are placed. The contracts typically start at 12,000 RMB per month and include some airfare reimburs*m*nt after 1 year. Contracts also generally include free accommodations (*see "The cons" section below). Lecturers will not only be under the oversight of the HQ in Beijing but also area representatives that may be placed in the school on full-time basis as well.
The pros
Getting hired by the company and establishing a paid position (after one month) is fairly easy. The interview may consist of an email exchange, phone call, Skype interview or in-person interview.
The cons
The placement is not likely to be in a highly desirable area of interest for most foreigners.
The reality of the lecturer's position and the contract tend to vary greatly.
The lecturer may be "asked" to move to a new location unexpectedly and asked to travel in difficult circumstances.
The company will frequently ask the lecturer to cover job-related costs and then make the reimburs*m*nt difficult (or impossible) to claim.
Issues related to the job or accommodations are difficult to resolve as the company will shift responsibility to the school (and vice versa).
Area representatives frequently observe foreign lecturers and serve a cost-cutting means by reporting aggressively on teacher behavior (resulting in pay deductions).
Teachers may be asked to work on visas other than the appropriate working Z visa in some cases.
Advice to Management
Establish straightforward job details and accommodation details and then communicate with the lecturers honestly and openly.
Institution Location
Beijing, China (Headquarters). The university placements vary.

Warning! Beware of Beijing International Education Institute (BIEI)!!! Black List!!! Liars!!! Frauds!!!

When they try to hire you, they say sweet words and make many promises. After you fly to their office in Beijing, everything will be changed.

A bunch of liars and bix*xches run this company. They make different stories and make endless lies. Many teachers were accused of being late for class in the first week. This is their special psychology game to control and threat the teachers. They promise to move you to their joint programme schools but without apartment ready. Broken windows and furnitures with c*c*roaches fly around. If you report the problems to BIEI, you will never get any direct answer from them. As long as problems occure, school will ask you to contact BIEI, BIEI will kick the ball back and tell you to talk with the school. BIEI will make you take 18 hours slow train to join their BS training meeting in Beijing office. They will tell you they can send you to UK or France if you want to teach in their joint progamme schools there. What a big joke! To take their meeting in Beijing you have to take 18 hours cheapest slowest train, what else you can expect from them!!!

They put spies in your classroom every day!! They told you that the spies are your assistant. Actually they are spies for BIEI. They report what you wear, whom you talk with, what you teach, how many time you go to WC to BIEI every day. No schools will treat teachers as criminals as much they do!! Beware!! You will be watched all the time if you choose BIEI!!! When you really need help from them, they start to ignore you!! Do not fly so far away to this cruel and s*u*i* company. Do not trust anything they said even if they put it in the contract. After you arrive, they will change the contract as many times as they can!! Many teachers left the schools only after teaching two months. If you can sign a contract with the school directly do not sign with BIEI. What BIEI needs are puppy dogs say yes to everything they ask. If you are not that type, stay away from them. Beware!! Beijing International Education Institute (BIEI) Black list!!! Liars!!!Frauds!!!
