Institute Review
Very low quality school that takes most efforts in creating perception of quality.
School is led with no discipline. Teacher's credibility and knowledge is incredibly low. They take pride in having the most UK teachers, which in my view is a negative as those teachers usually have extremely low competency with only one notable exception.
The pros
I cannot see any pros.
The cons
Bulling, badly behaved children, marks awarded based on teachers personal preference, no discipline in the school which is highlighted by the fact that they are three separate campuses. Even when they change this and co-locate the schools, their lack of leadership and loose discipline will inevitably bring even more problems. There is even violence against students by some teachers, which is tolerated by the management.
For children, there are no sporting facilities at all and at some campuses children cannot go outside during a break.
Diversity is not supported by children as such culture has not been embedded. In secondary school children mostly communicate amongst each other in Serbian language and those that speak English are an outcast. There is simply too much to say here, so in summary, please research thoroughly and do not be lured by foreign names in the school.
Advice to Management
Undertake professional management as the school is going downhill very fast.
Employ competent teachers, not retired UK teachers with low professional competency and questionable knowledge. Reinforce English language among the students and implement tools, processes and procedures to deal with bulling by peers but also by teachers.
Discipline, discipline and discipline!

Institute Review
This international school follows the UK curriculum and has around 100 children on roll in the Primary section as of May 2016. The teachers are a mix of UK, Serbian and Canadian staff. Most of the UK teachers do not have QTS status. The building itself is set in u*icke Belgrade, a quiet leafy part of Belgrade, where a lot of the embassies are located. They are open from 7.30 to 5pm with security behind the gate. There is a reasonably sized playground with additional playing areas around the sides of the building. The classrooms are not equipped wtih Interactive white boards and the school is poorly resourced in reception and year 1.
The pros
The children are lovely. Small class sizes, the majority well behaved, a good level of English and also the majority of parents are supportive and cooperative. The timetable is flexible and includes ECA clubs where children can choose an activity two days per week. There is special certificates awarded in assembly with golden time for children on a Friday. The children are happy and within most of the classrooms its a pleasant atmosphere to work and to learn.
The cons
The management and staff. First of all the management are corrupt. They pay the staff in cash and only declare a small percentage of this to Serbian authorities. The Owners are simply there to make money. That is the main goal. Education and welfare of children is not number one. The management team is a David Brent clone who runs the secondary and likes to control the proceedings in Primary. he has four children within the school and is guilty of nepotism. His wife works in primary too. The Primary head is about to change. This is really a messenger role acting as a go between from management to primary staff. The Head of Primary has no real power and so is limited to make the necessary changes. The new primary head is a bully, who gossips about staff behind their backs and has only been teaching two years. He is calculating and manipulative and thoroughly unpleasant and speaks in a derogatory manner to the children. You cannot make changes for the better here because the management stick together. They close ranks as they realise they are incompetent and disregard anything that might improve the school. They are scared of change and progressing. There is no professional development for staff and no accountability. The TAs are Serbian staff and some are good some are not. There is a gossiping b*t*hy culture that exists and managing the TAs can be harder than the children.
Advice to Management
The owners should sell up. They shouldn't be in education full stop. In fact they should be investigated for their fraudulent activities. David Brent in secondary should stay out of primary and Primary should appoint a proper head with leadership experience not 6 months a supervisor in Nat West bank. The school should also take action against staff proven to have breached the code of conduct. For example, the new head of primary Mr Bouring likes to send abusive emails to ex employees while hacking another momber of staffs email account to frame them, all the while he is meant to be ICT teaching. Mr Bouring has already had complaints about bullying directly made about him and this says much about the school they appoint him head after 2 years in teaching and a series if misdemeanors.
